Course description

Join us for the Advanced Electric Diagnosis course, designed for experienced technicians who possess a sound understanding of electrics and diagnosis. This course focuses on advanced-level diagnosis and repair of electrical issues in vehicles. To diagnose electrical issues at an advanced level, technicians must be confident in using diagnostic test equipment, interpreting data, reading wiring diagrams, and understanding the operation of components.


Course goals and objectives

Course Objectives:

  • Explore Advanced Electrical Diagnosis: Gain advanced knowledge and skills to diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues in vehicles.
  • Select and Apply Advanced Test Processes: Learn how to select and apply advanced test processes to diagnose challenging types of failures, including intermittent faults.
  • Diagnose and Repair at an Advanced Level: Demonstrate the ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues at an advanced level, ensuring the correct functioning of on-board automotive computing.
  • Support and Coach Colleagues: Develop the skills to support and coach colleagues in advanced diagnostic techniques, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
  • Effective Fault Communication: Enhance communication skills to accurately report electrical faults to technical support centres, facilitating efficient troubleshooting processes.
