Course Overview:
This course is for technicians who require training on using the KTS as a manufacturer vehicle interface. Practical test procedures and demonstrations will provide trainees with an in-depth working knowledge.
Course content:
- PC set up
- Manufacturer portals (BMW, JLR, Peugeot, Opel/Vauxhall, Citroen, Nissan & VAG)
- Software updates
- Variant encoding
- ECU replacement & re-programming
Prerequisites:
- Standard PC User Skills
Course goals and objectives
Attainment:
On successful completion of VSTD 54, delegates will be able to:
- Confirm suitability of the PC. Configure the settings required for seamless operation.
- Carry out software update of an ECU using KTS as the vehicle interface.
- Carry out variant encoding of an ECU using KTS as the vehicle interface.
- Carry out replacement & programming of an ECU using KTS as the vehicle interface.
