Geared towards technicians without previous application training, apprentices, and industry newcomers wanting to transition to paint. This course provides a comprehensive blend of theory and hands-on practical sessions, focused on building foundation skills in paint application.
Course topics include:
• Surface identification
• Cleaning
• Virtual reality spraying
• Basic spray gun set-up and air requirements
• Application of standard waterborne basecoat
• Application of compliant UHS Clears
• Correct flash-off & drying.
Course goals and objectives
Upon
completion of the course, attendees will have a basic understanding of paint
application through a spray gun. This course serves as a stepping-stone for
individuals looking to start their journey in body repair, arming participants
with fundamental skills, and leaving them well-positioned to further develop
their skillset in paint application.
