Designed specifically for technicians who repair plastic parts, this course integrates theory with practical training to provide comprehensive insights into various plastic repair methods. Participants will gain expertise in identifying different plastic substrates and implementing the most effective repair techniques.
Course topics include:
• Identifying different plastic substrates
• Repairing splits in plastic using cold adhesives
• Repairing splits in plastic using hot method and Nitrogen
• Correct cleaning
• Texturing using aerosol
• Colouring using aerosol
• Paint Filmweight (ADAS)
• Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) requirements are discussed
Course goals and objectives
Upon completion, participants will be equipped to identify different plastic substrates and choose the most suitable repair method, whether it involves cold adhesives, heat application, or other advanced techniques. Additionally, participants will gain the expertise to perform repairs in line with ADAS requirements.
The course empowers technicians to make informed decisions on the best repair methods for specific damages, considering both the nature of the damage and the implications for ADAS integration.
