Course description
A successful diagnosis is only possible with a thorough diagnostic process. Following such a process ensures that the Technician applies a methodical approach to any repair. Applying and utilising the correct techniques and diagnostic equipment allows the Technician to accurately diagnose any issue and be confident that the repair has been rectified. Investigating different systems in the vehicle will provide the Technician with the ability to apply the correct test procedure and develop their diagnostic skills.
Course goals and objectives
This course offers the learner an opportunity to explore the different diagnostic tools, understand how they work and how to use them in as part of a logical process. By the end of this course, delegates will be able to: • Recognise a thorough diagnostic test procedures • Identify and describe what tools are suitable for this type of testing • Describe how the tools work and the type of faults to use them on • Demonstrate their ability to use the tools and interpret the results • Apply the process to any system and follow a methodical approach
